Waynesville Weekend & April Challenge Update

Saturday I headed home to hang out with my family for the evening because the next day the fiance and I had our second shower. It was being held at the church I grew up in.

Saturday evening consisted of family, a crazy ride in my moms new prius and late night McDonald's. I ate a BIG MAC... joking pomegranate blueberry smoothie for me :)

The next day after church we all headed down to the fellowship hall and I couldn't believe all the beautiful decorations.

This was made for us by a VERY close family friend. I LOVE IT! I told her she should start selling them.

The spread was amazing. It had plenty of healthy and not so healthy options so everyone was happy.

Once everyone arrived we got to fill out plates first. I wanted to take the entire cheese ball that my mom made. No one even knew it was made with healthy ingredients. (Well better then most cheese balls)

My mom did such a wonderful job, I am so very thankful for this woman right here.

After everyone was stuffed we started to open gifts. I clearly had a great time.

Afterwards I of course wanted pictures with everyone but I will only share a few.

Here I am with a few of my bridesmaids. I have 11 I know I am nuts :)

These girls I have been best friends with forever and little man he is just one of my favorites.

The two best moms in the world. I bet you can guess who's mom is who's.

My sweet sweet family, minus a few..

The fiances mom and sister (the one who inspired the idea for LittleBlueDress)

My Best Friend and one of my Maid of Honors.

After the shower we filled my car , gave out our thank yous and hugs and headed back to SC.

I can't wait to marry my best friend, my soul mate, my life!

Now to an update on how my April Challenge is going.
I am proud to say that I am on day 7 of no sodas, no sweets and no bad carbs.

Here are just a few of my meals over the past few days.

First a sirloin steak (very small cut), pinto beans and a small sweet potato.

Saturday for lunch I met with the girls for lunch.
This is a sweet potato with bbq and bbq sauce ( I left off the bacon, chipolte sauce and cheese). I think I ate 1/3 of it. It was HUGE!

Then Saturday evening I ate with the fam.

My mom made a fabulous meal. I will be sharing this recipe VERY soon.

She made a homemade pork loin sauce with mushrooms and peppers topped on spag. squash with a side of asparagus.

Then for lunch today I had a grilled chicken salad, with a side of veggies and hummus.

Now that I have made it through the first couple of hard days I am on a roll.
NEW WORKOUTS COMING SOON, ALONG WITH NEW RECIPES!!
