January Birchbox & Obsessions Friday

You know what time it is!!!!

BIRCHBOX TIME!!!

This box, like any box, I of course loved. It always has at least a couple of things that I absolutely love and want to continue using. This was January's box ( New Year's) so when I opened it up it had these cute little cards.

Then when you turned them around it gave you tips on living well and living happy.

But now let's get to the really fun stuff.

1st up.
Ruby Wing
Kitten Heels
This color changing polish morphs from a bright fuchsia to a rich magenta in the sun.

I am so excited to try this color out!!

Ojon
damage reverse, Restorative hair treatment
Pre -shampoo balm that heals everything from split ends to frizz with a bevy of lush oils.

I used it this morning and I have had some many compliments on how my hair looks today.

RESIST C15 Super Booster
Light as water anti aging liquid that promotes brighter, firmer skin and fades dark spots.

Let's face it, with age your face needs more care then it did back in your college days. I can definitely tell this year, I am actually having to use moisturizer and I have even started using anti aging creams. Hey, you can never start too early right? I used this last night and it made my face feel fabulous.

100% Pure
Fruit Pigmented Mascara
All natural lash conditioning wonder that thickens and lengthens with fruit pigments.

All I have to say about this stuff..... I just ordered the full size.

Last Dry Deodorant Wipes
Reviver
The first ever deodorant for your duds, this handy cloth whisks away odors on contact.

Great box right? Let me know if you are interested in joining Birchbox. Spoil yourself monthly.

Now I am going to start something new. Every Friday I am going to have an Obsessions Friday. I will share things that I found or tried  throughout the week and loved.

First on the list....

Special K Cinnamon pecan cereal. I just put 3/4 a cup  in Tupperware and snack on it throughout the day. Only 110 calories. Awesome!

Deep Sea Treatment
Aloe Vera Moisturising Cream

This stuff makes my face feel like a babies bottom :)

Fresh flowers.
I usually always have fresh flowers around my house. There is just something about them that make me happy.

Last but definitely not least....

My new Steve Madden handbag.
This baby was worth the little splurge. Every girl needs their go to black handbag.

So there you go!!
My January Birchbox and some great finds this week!

As you can tell I love ELF makeup. I first started buying it because of the price but then I soon realized it was like I was wearing high end makeup but without spending an arm and a leg. It had the same effect as some of my other more expensive makeup. So clearly I converted to all E.L.F.

I thought today I would share my makeup must haves.

After making sure I have plenty of moisturizer on my face (I'll be sharing that tomorrow in my weekly obsessions post). I start out with my concealer. I can tell I am getting older because I have never had to use this stuff.  I get beige and it blends in soft and perfect.

Next I apply Flawless Finish Foundation. This is light, SPF 15 and oil free. My color is sand

After that I finish off my base with a little bit of Golden bronzer and

twinkle pink blush

I then move to my eyes. For my day to day makeup I use the flawless eyeshadow, beautiful browns.

At night I will add a little bit more shimmer with the toasted shadow.

Then my absolute must have. EYELINER!. The only thing that I don't just love is the ELF mascara. But everything else I give two thumbs up.

 Now to the GIVEAWAY!!!

Mexican Delight & I Have Reached My Goal

Sunday evening I cranked up the heat, slipped into my comfys, and got ready to create something in the kitchen. This is what I came up with.

What you will need
quinoa
ground chicken
taco seasoning
enchilada sauce
black beans (drained)
corn (drained)
rotel tomatoes (drained)
fresh sweet mixed peppers and jalapenos (chopped)
skim mozz cheese
crushed red pepper

Preheat oven to 350'

Then start by cooking your ground chicken. Once cooked add your taco seasoning and crushed red pepper. Once mixed set aside in mixing bowl.

Then cook your chopped peppers and jalapenos. I added a little bit of garlic salt.

Cook your quinoa. Remember this cooks just like rice.

While your quinoa is cooking mix your ground chicken and veggies.

Once quinoa is fully cooked pour into the bottom of your baking dish.

Then layer your meat,

your drained black beans, corn and rotel tomatoes,

then finish it off with the enchilada sauce.

Place in the oven and let cook for about 20 mins.

Then take out and add the mozz cheese. Let cook for another 20 minutes,

or until the cheese with fully melted and browned on top.

Let cool and then enjoy.

This has been great for my lunches. Healthy and filling.

I have decided that I am comfortable with my body and I no longer want to be any smaller. I am happy and healthy but I know that now I have to maintain it. I have never once in my life not been trying to lose weight so this will be different for me. I will continue LittleBlueDress to share more recipes, workouts and my lifestyle as the new healthier, happier me! I hope you will continue to follow my lifestyle.

Ryder Alexander Roe

This was one of the most exciting weekends I have had in a while. We welcomed a sweet little baby boy to this world.

We all waited not very patiently in the waiting room,

while this little blessing was brought into this world.

Isn't he the most perfect baby ever.

Right away Mymaw had to get a hold of her first grandchild. It was definitely a special moment.

But then you know me and babies I has to get a hold of him.

I can't wait to see him grow and spend as much time with him as his parents will let me :)

The fiancee was definitely a proud 1st time uncle. Look at Ryder's face I think he likes his Uncle Shaun :)

This one is my favorite. Precious!
