Time To Get Serious People!!!

It is almost a month before the biggest day of my life and the beginning of something so beautiful and special words can't express how excited I am buttttttttt..... it is down to the wire and I want to look and feel my best on that day. So I am going to be getting really serious these last 35 days. I am saying goodbye to everything except lean meats, fruit and veggies. So that means goodbye to dear sweet dairy :(. For the next 35 days I am going to be using all the recipes from Tone It Up. (http://toneitup.com/the-recipes/) These girls know what they are doing when it comes to food and a good sweat. I have joined the TIUTeam and I am so ready to see the results I will have on my wedding day. This is going to be a tough month but it will be so worth it once I slip into that little white dress. I hope you will all join me in my journey to this goal and if you want to join in feel free. This also means I will now be blogging 7 days a week to keep myself accountable and to share all my meals and workouts so I hope you enjoy!! :)

Here is an example of one of my typical days:

Meal 1: Fruit smoothie with protein and greens
Meal 2: Fruit
Meal 3:wrap or salad
Meal 4:green juice
Meal 5:lean meat with lots of veggies

This month I am going to be doing a total body cleanse and working out daily. On my wedding day my future hubby isn't going to take his hands off me. I mean that's the goal right. wink wink!!

I can't wait to see and feel the changes.

Come on Monday I am ready to conquer this month!!

My Evening Visitors, Dinner & Summer Smoothies

Last night when I pulled into my driveway I discovered I had two little visitors waiting for me. I haven't seen Ryder's sweet face in about a week so I was so excited they surprised me.

He is growing so fast and I know his momma is wanting time to stop but I can't wait till he can run around and play with me. I forsee many spend the night parties with his Aunt Mel.

After they left I was starving so I had a little snack while I made my dinner.
This dip is SO good. It's only 25 calories for 2 tbsp and it is so flavorful you don't need much.

All day at work I was craving a good salad. I love making salads at home because I am really picky with lettuce. I can not stand iceberg lettuce, the texture is horrible to me. I am more of a romaine and kale kinda gal.

So at the store I picked up all my favorite ingredients to make my perfect salad.

Rotisserie Chicken (only white meat)
romaine lettuce
shredded broccoli
siracha
yogurt ranch (only 45 calories for 2 tbsp)

( I normally add more veggies to it but I was so hungry I didn't feel like chopping them up)

After I finished my salad I went ahead and prepared my morning smoothie. It saves so much time in the morning.

1 banana
handful of strawberries
handful of spinach
2 tbsp of flax seed
unsweetened almond milk
sugar free cheesecake powder

Now that is it warm out, smoothies are my go to for breakfast!

I'M BACK, 37 Day Challenge with my love & a new recipe

If you have followed my journey for the past year and a half you know that I have made some life changing decisions. I have taken this time to really focus on inner happiness and all around healthy living. You can read my story here and learn what made me want to make the change for good. ( http://littlebluedress4change.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html ) It hasn't been a simple journey I have had many ups and downs but I can honestly say I have never entered that black hole I was once in. For that this journey has been well worth it. But there is something about the cold weather that makes me want to be lazy and eat Southern comfort foods. I mean come on, I'm a mountain girl you know I love me some casseroles, especially my mommas squash casserole. But this morning when I rose out of  bed I knew that it was time to get back to where I was when I started LittleBlueDress. For me if I am not in the right mind set I will stick to something for a few days and then kind of just slack off. I have to be all there and ready to put my entire heart into it. I am not saying that I have gone back to all my unhealthy eating habits and not getting my lazy behind off the couch but I will say I have been eating foods that make me want to be lazy and well they just make me feel bad. If I have learned anything this past year and a half I have learned I have one body and I need to take care of it and love it.
So for the next 37 days I am challenging myself to get back to where I was and really focus on how I treat my body. My fiance and I are also getting married in 37 days so I thought this would be a perfect time for both of us to really get as fit and healthy as we can and he agrees. It is always easier to go to the gym if you have a workout partner and I think this will also give us a great hobby that we can enjoy together, I mean that is if he can keep up. :) So here WE go!!! These next 37 days I am going to be sharing my daily meals, recipes, workouts and the continuing journey to my healthy, happy lifestyle but now I have a partner to do it with me.....my love.

Us on my hammock yesterday, I just love that smile!

So the best way to start it off is a new recipe!!

What you will need
chicken strips
broccoli
skim mozz cheese
fat free cream of mushroom soup
fat free greek yogurt
veggie quinoa
substitute egg

Start by cooking your quinoa (just like you would rice)

Once cooked, mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl. (only half of the skim mozz cheese and 1/4 cup of substitute egg).

Once mixed pour in baking dish.
Let bake on 375' for about 30 to 35 mins. My parents came to town so I didn't really time it. Just make sure the chicken is cooked. I did this by sticking a knife in the middle and cutting a piece of the chicken. If ready add the rest of your cheese and let bake until melted on top.

I then let cool! Once cooled I put some in my Tupperware for lunch today. But first I tried it and it pretty tasting.

I already feel better knowing I have my healthy lunches for the rest of the week. This girl is taking action and ready to see more of a change then what I have already seen! If you would like to join us let me know, it's never to late to make the change. It has been the best decision of my life, well other then saying yes to my soulmate. (sorry had to throw that out there, I'M GETTING MARRIED SOON)

Where is my healthy living blog & My Bachelorette Weekend

So the past couple of months I will admit I have been some what of a crazy person. With all the showers, planning and going out of town every weekend. So during the week all I want to do is rest when I get home after work. Butttt I find that I am falling back into my bad ways. The finace and I are really going to focus on getting back in the gym and eating better so I am really excited to get back to where I was when I first started LittleBlueDress. So I will be sharing a new recipe and workout very soon so make sure you don't miss it!!

Now to this past weekend...... This was a very special weekend, my sister planned the most perfect bachelorette weekend ever. It started off Thursday evening, we all jumped in the car and headed South.  I was ready to say peace out to reality!!

But before we lefft.........let's take a selfie :) This was a joke the entire trip!!

We had to take two cars so we went old school and used walki talki's!!
For some reason it took forever to get there so I slept the whole way!

Once we got there my sister was already there with the house all decorated!! She defiantly knows her sister. All the decorations were right up my ally.

Since it was so late getting there we all headed to bed so we didn't waste the whole next day.

When we woke up we got ready and headed to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants ever.

Where of course I had to wear my bride sunglasses!

My sister and I :)

They sang to me and tried to embarrass me but come on if I am going to wear this hat and bride sunglasses mid day I probably don't get embarrassed very easily. I handed the cake off to the girls. Not really a fan.

My lunch was fabulous as usual I got a taco salad but didn't eat the shell. I mean I don't need to go crazy I do have a dress to fit into.

We had a blast and laughed till our belly's hurt and then headed back to the house.

We then decided it was time to head to the beach even though the weather was not very beach worthy. Nothing was going to stop us!

We all piled into one car and headed out in our awesome sunglasses.

Even though the sun wasn't out we had fun just chatting and taking " selfies" haha

When it started to get chilly we headed back to the house for some much needed naps.

That night we just hung out around the house and grilled.

The next day we headed downtown where they were having the Shrimp Festival.
There were so many vendors, we were in heaven.

We walked around checking out all the vendors and had some fabulous shrimp quesadillas and then headed back to the house once it started getting late to get ready for dinner and the night.

This might be my favorite picture of the weekend. No my sister is not this much shorter, she just has flats on.

We all headed out for a yummy dinner and to hangout at the Turtle Bar. They always have a large crowd and great music!!

I have to say we were a pretty popular crowd!!

The next day we packed up and cleaned up and headed north!!
It was sad but I was ready to catch up on some sleep.

My sister out did herself and this was probably the best weekend I have ever had. I will forever have the best "First Best Friend"
