I went home over the weekend for one of the best/ relaxing weekends I have had in a while. I went home mainly for my baby brothers and fiancees household shower. (tear) But if I go home I have to of course see all my girls. So I met two of them by the old soccer field that I grew up playing on and this is what I find them doing.
A Photo shoot
My best friend has been starting her own business and to start a business you of course have to have cute pictures.
Check her stuff out on facebook (I would show you the link but you all know I have decided to boycott) but anyways you can find by searching LolaMae Designs. Such cute stuff and I'm not even being biased.
Aren't they the cutest
After the photo shoot we left and went to meet the rest of the girls and baby Bronx for lunch at the Coffee Cup Cafe.
I of course got a hold of Bronx as soon as possible but
I had to be nice and share him.
Watch out girls, he is gonna be a looker, takes after his momma :)
After passing him around and everyone got their first round of hugs and kisses in, it was time to grub.
I had the raspberry vinaigrette, walnut, grilled chicken salad and let me tell you it was the best salad I think I have ever had in my life.
After our bellies were full if was time to do our own little photo shoot. ( I think I live in a photo shoot because I love taking pictures, I think I get that from my mom.)
Here we go second round of hugs and kisses.
We chatted about new times and old times, how things have changed and how some things have stayed the same. We laughed so hard we cried, we giggled like little girls and it reminded me how lucky I am to have these girls in my life but eventlually it was time to say our goodbyes.
(this little one was wore out from all of his aunties)
The next day was the household shower for my brother and his fiance at the church that I grew up in.
Aren't the decorations perfect (thanks to my mom, pintrest :) and I)
Aren't they even more perfect. They have been together since she was 14 and when you see them you would still think they just started dating. I think they will always live in their honeymoon stage. Couldn't be happier for the two of them.
Now this was a little bittersweet. This beautiful young lady I started babysitting the day she was born and look at her now, she is WAY taller than me. (at this moment I was feeling VERY old.)
Now to this special lady. It was just plain wonderful to see her.
Look at these beautiful ladies. ( momma is the one is the one in the middle)
I hope I age this well.
Seeing these two truly made my weekend. It had been so long and it was so wonderful to talk about old times and catch up on all the new times that have passed. This handsome man will be the one that marries me, whenever someone decides they can put up with me for the rest of their life :).
Sadly after three hours of me none stop talking and laughing it was time for me to head back home and get prepared for the week.
At least I have this cute, lovable, huggable, snuggler when I get home.
Now next weekend is the big weekend. I finally will be wearing "The Little Blue Dress". Thursday is the big weigh in day to see if I have reached my goal. Even if I haven't I am still pretty proud of myself because I have completely changed my eating habits, I am much healthier, much happier, and still have 46 days till my next wedding , so I have plenty of time to reach my ultimate goal. The most important part of losing weight is making sure you do it the healthy way.
